Levity New braunfels reviews
Disapointed with both venue and bands
The concert was rescheduled to the 27th from mid-February due to weather, which caused Iration to not perform (a main reason I attended) without my knowledge of their removal from the ticket. Once inside, we waited in the rain for the doors to open 30 minutes later. The first set, performed by a local band from Columbus, was decent but not the reason we attended. The sound quality was mediocre, with incorrect volumes and missed cues several times. During the set, a girl next to us threw up, leaving a pile of vomit in the pit for the rest of the show. After the local band finished, we waited over an hour and a half for the main act, Levity - Band. By 11:30, tired of waiting and listening to indistinguishable rap songs played over a poorly EQed system, we left before they even took the stage. On our way out, we spoke with a member of the opening act who informed us that the lead singer of Levity - Band had not even arrived at the venue yet. Overall, it was an amateurish show in every aspect, and I regret not being able to receive a refund.
Good time
Levity - Band's voice is still outstanding. Throughout the show, there were some technical issues with high pitch feedback and occasional loud 'oomphs' that were not fixed.
The show was maybe 1 hour 20 minutes long with 20 minutes of that taken up by chit chat.
Broward Center is a beautiful venue, but it is too small to have big screens showing the artist and too big so that many of the seats are quite far away from the stage, resulting in a bit of disconnect from the music.
There was no set or staging, just a few lights. The "show" could have been better if some money had been spent on a backdrop and more bells and whistles.
Just overall, the show could have been better. No complaints about Levity - Band's voice, though.
